Looking for Laborers

Dear reader, the job posting is open, but, you must be in the building. Not a literal building that was constructed by the hands of man, but the spiritual building that Jesus bought with His own blood (Acts 20:28), His church, His body (Ephesians 1:22-23).

A Tough Day

Almost three months ago, Sonia Venegas, my mother had a heart surgery as per her doctor’s request. She was diagnosed with diabetes several years ago, and that turned into neuropathy a few years later. We all knew that this surgery will be very difficult and that it might have some complications, but she trusted in her doctor, and the procedure was made. Today, she died around 2:15 am. She was 57 years old.

The Power of the Word of God

The Gospel is the good news, the message of salvation, which consists of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior. A message that a persecutor of Christians who after he was repented and converted was not ashamed to preach, because he himself recognized it is the power of God to save everyone who believes.

Sweet Child Of Mine

We know that Jesus is the best physician, and that God is in control. We pray and trust in Him. We are aware that this life is like a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away (James 4:14). Our problem is that, as human beings, we were (and still are) not ready to depart from our children.

Firm and Forward

Paul was one of the great soldiers of Christ. He left a life that, from the point of view of the Jews, was very good. Today we do not need that Christ appears unto us and blinds us to believe in him. That already happened to Paul and the Bible says so (Acts 22:6-16). The Word of God is the complete source of all that we need to know about life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Once he obeyed the gospel, he put his life to the service of the Lord.
