The Mission

How Shall They Hear Without A Preacher?

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen”

– MATTHEW 28:19-20 –

The Great Commission was given by Jesus Christ almost two thousands years ago. We are still commanded to go out and teach all nations. Our heavenly Father sent Jesus to taught us what we must do to be saved, the apostles learned it and share it with the world, and today, we must keep reaching the lost and help them to recognize the truth, obey the truth, and live according to the truth.

ARRAIJÁN

A district of Panamá Oeste (West Panama Province) in Panama. The territory lies west of the Panama Canal bordering Panama City.

Its population was 149,918 in 2000. In 2010, according to Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censo, the population increased to 216,966, almost 67,000 more souls in ten years, having a grow increment of 44%. Population keeps growing, as recorded by a local newspaper, it is estimated to be 300,000+ (Panamá America).

The article was published in April 2014, and records that, by that moment, 27,000 houses were constructed in a 4 years lapse. The most common reason for this growth, is the closeness to the capital, Ciudad de Panama, were most of the population works (it is just 8 miles away).

There are a few congregations of the church of Christ in the area, but their membership is no bigger than 30 members each one. As it has been discussed in the different sections of this website, the Gospel is for all, and Arraiján is a good soil to plant the seed of the Word of God. That has been part of the plan of our family since the moment we decided to come to Memphis School of Preaching, to be fully equipped to do the work of the Lord in our country, in our area, in our neighborhood. This is the city where we want to establish a sound, faithful, self-supported and organized congregation, having it as a goal to accomplish in the next ten to fifteen years.

Dear brethren, Panama is a good field, and Arraiján a good area in where to do the work according to the Word of God. If you are interested to help on this work, feel free to contact us and, together, we can find how you can join us on this effort.
